Core PHP Developer
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1+ years PHP web development experience
- Expert with PHP object-oriented programming & MVC applications
- Competent with SQL-based database concepts
- Familiarity with automated deployment strategies
- Solutions-oriented thinking; always looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer
- A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies
PROVEN SKILLS & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Expert analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with a variety of platforms & frameworks such as: Zend Framework, Symfony, Laravel, Drupal, and Magento
- Competent knowledge of Linux-based systems administration
- Competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQuery
- Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies
- A desire to be personally responsible for production-level code
- Ingenuity to leverage all available tools at your disposal
- Comfort working with Linux-based systems
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with other languages such as Go, Python, or Ruby
- EExperience with a variety of database platforms like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc. is a huge plus
- Experience with caching and scaling techniques
- Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS/LESS
- Experience with Zurb Foundation
- Contributions to the open-source community
