Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Assistance:
-
Greet every walk-in customer with a warm welcome and polite conversation.

Understand customer preferences, budget, and occasion (wedding, party, casual) to suggest suitable jewelry items.
-
Help customers try on necklaces, bangles, earrings, rings, anklets, and other imitation jewelry pieces.
-
Build rapport with regular customers to encourage repeat business.
2. Product Knowledge & Upselling:
-
Gain full knowledge of the products in stock – materials used (e.g., oxidized, gold-plated, kundan, pearl), care instructions, price points, and offers.

Explain the durability, uniqueness, and styling of each item.

Promote new arrivals, trending collections, and combo offers to increase average bill value.
3. Counter & Display Management:
-
Maintain a clean, well-organized, and attractive display counter at all times.
-
Arrange products by category, price range, and themes to highlight variety.
-
Rotate and refresh the counter display regularly to showcase new or slow-moving items.
4. Billing & Cash Handling:
-
Use POS (Point of Sale) systems or manual billing methods to process customer purchases accurately.
-
Handle cash, card, and digital payments (UPI, Paytm, etc.).
-
Issue receipts, pack items neatly in branded pouches/boxes, and thank customers for their visit.
5. Stock Monitoring:
-
Keep track of items sold, fast-moving pieces, and out-of-stock products.
-
Inform the store supervisor or owner about restocking requirements.
-
Help in taking regular physical inventory and assisting during new stock arrivals.
6. Cleanliness & Store Hygiene:
-
Ensure counters, shelves, and mirrors are dust-free and clean.
-
Maintain a tidy appearance at the workplace and follow basic grooming standards.

Help in daily opening and closing procedures of the store.
7. Complaint Handling:
-
Address basic customer concerns like product quality or fitting issues politely.
-
Escalate issues that require managerial intervention.
-
Ensure customer satisfaction is always a priority.
