Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Package Pickup and Delivery:

Collect packages from the warehouse or assigned pickup points.

Deliver items to customers at their specified addresses accurately and within the allotted time frame.

Obtain signatures, OTPs, or electronic confirmations to validate successful deliveries.

In case of failed delivery, follow company protocols for rescheduling or returning items.
2. Route Planning and Navigation:

Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel usage.

Use GPS devices, delivery apps, or maps to navigate to customer locations.
-
Avoid delays by staying informed about traffic patterns, construction zones, and weather conditions.
3. Package Handling and Safety:

Ensure all parcels are handled carefully to avoid damage, leakage, or loss.

Secure fragile or high-value packages as per company guidelines.
-
Maintain confidentiality and security of customer parcels.
4. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain a daily log of deliveries, pickups, payments collected (if any), and customer feedback.

Submit accurate delivery reports or digital updates through the mobile app or system.

Report any incidents, delays, or complaints to the delivery supervisor immediately.
5. Customer Service:

Greet customers politely and deliver packages with a friendly attitude.

Address customer questions or concerns related to delivery professionally.

Inform the supervisor or customer support team in case of unresolved issues.
6. Payment Collection (If Applicable):

Collect cash or digital payments from customers for cash-on-delivery (COD) orders.

Ensure correct billing and provide receipts as required.

Deposit collected cash or reconcile transactions as per company policies.
7. Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:

Check the condition of the delivery vehicle (bike, scooter, cycle, etc.) daily.

Report any maintenance issues or breakdowns to the fleet or support team.

Ensure the mobile device, delivery app, and any other equipment are charged and functioning properly.
8. Compliance and Safety:

Follow road safety rules, traffic laws, and delivery protocols strictly.

Wear company-issued uniforms, ID cards, and safety gear like helmets or reflective jackets.

Adhere to hygiene and sanitization guidelines, especially during food or sensitive item delivery.
