Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. JLG Group Formation
-
Identify eligible borrowers in rural/semi-urban areas and create awareness about JLG loan schemes.

Form Joint Liability Groups (5–10 members per group) based on eligibility, trust, and income criteria.

Conduct Group Training (GT) and Group Recognition Tests (GRT) as per company or NBFC/MFI norms.

Explain loan terms, repayment schedules, group liability, and consequences of default clearly to members.

Verify identity and address documents of all group members.
2. Loan Processing and Disbursement
-
Collect and verify KYC documents including Aadhaar, PAN, ration card, income proof, etc.

Fill in loan application forms manually or digitally and upload them into the loan management system.

Assist in risk assessment and credit scoring through field observations and data.

Coordinate with the branch office and disbursement team to release approved loans to group members.

Disburse loans in a secure and transparent manner, ensuring proper documentation and signature.
3. Collection of Loan Repayments
-
Visit villages and group members according to the repayment schedule (weekly/fortnightly/monthly).

Collect repayments in cash or digital mode as per company policy and issue receipts.

Maintain daily collection registers and submit reports to the branch in a timely manner.

Counsel borrowers in case of payment delays and encourage regular repayment.

Escalate high-risk or default cases to the branch manager or collection head for further action.
4. Area Survey and Market Assessment
-
Conduct field surveys in villages to identify new loan opportunities and potential areas of operation.

Understand the local economy, income sources, and financial needs of the population.

Gather data about competitors, lending practices, and customer feedback.

Help prepare reports for expansion planning, saturation assessment, and risk analysis.
5. Manual Documentation and Physical Work

Handle field files, documents, registers, and forms related to applications, repayments, and verifications.

Collect photographs, thumbprints, and physical signatures of borrowers.

Travel on foot, bike, or public transport to reach remote areas and meet clients.
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of field records and loan files.
6. Customer Relationship and Support
-
Build rapport with clients and maintain long-term borrower relationships.

Educate borrowers on financial literacy, responsible borrowing, and group discipline.
-
Resolve customer issues and complaints in coordination with the branch.
