Project Assistant-III Job vacancies in Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI)
Project Title : “High purity salt and recovery of valuable metal ions from marine resources”
Qualification : M.Sc. Microbiology with minimum 55% + minimum 2 years of experience in utilization of de-oiled microalgal biomass for applications in biofertilizer, biogas substrate, adsorbents, thermo-chemical conversion including pyrolysis and gasification. Desirable: Candidates having publications in peer reviewed SCI indexed journals will be preferred.

Emoluments : Rs.14000/- pm and Rs. 16000/- pm for NET-LS/GATE qualified candidates (subject to revision by CSIR).

India had been an importer of salt for a long time as her own production was not sufficient to meet the demand. The position deteriorated further after partition, when the extensive rock salt deposits in the Punjab and the marine salt works in Sind went to Pakistan.
