Cultural Quota job recruitment in  North Eastern Railway 

Recruitment against Cultural Quota for the year 2018-19 for Two Group 'C' posts

No. of Posts :

(a) Classical Music-01 post

(b) Classical Dance- 01 post

Qualification :  For Technician-III, Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognized by SCVT/NCVT) and for other posts, 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The compulsion of 50% marks in aggregate will not be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates possessing qualification higher than 12th or its equivalent. 

Essential Cultural Qualification: Candidate should possess Degree/Diploma/ Certificate in the relevant field of Music/Dance as the case may be from a Government recognized Institute.

Desirable : (i) Experience in the field and performance given on All India Radio/Doordarshan etc. (ii) Prizes won at National level.

Pay Scale :  Level-2 (Grade Pay Rs.1900 of 6th CPC)

Age Limit :  18-33 years. Age will be reckoned as on 01-01-2019

Examination Fee : 

For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons With Disabilities (PwDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes :  Rs. 250/-

All other candidates :  Rs. 500/-

Recruitment Process : The candidates found prima facie eligible for recruitment will be assessed on the following basis: (A) Written Test(Note : The written test will consist of 50 objective type questions) -50 marks (B) Assessment of talent in the relevant field : (i) On the basis of Practical Demonstration-35 marks (ii) On the basis of Testimonials/Prizes etc. 15 marks (Total 100 marks)

Note :  Selected candidates shall be posted in the Izzatnagar Division of North Eastern Railway.
