Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Interaction:

Greet and engage with clients visiting the office, or connect with them via phone, WhatsApp, email, or video calls.

Understand the client’s insurance needs (life, health, vehicle, property, etc.) and provide product recommendations.

Explain insurance plan features, premium details, benefits, exclusions, and terms and conditions.
2. Lead Management and Follow-ups:
-
Call and follow up on incoming leads from marketing campaigns, websites, referrals, or existing customers.

Maintain a structured follow-up schedule to convert leads into policyholders.
-
Update CRM or lead management systems with the latest call status, feedback, and next steps.
3. Policy Servicing:

Assist customers with new policy applications, renewals, premium payments, document submission, and endorsements.

Ensure smooth issuance and delivery of policies after compliance checks.

Guide customers through claim processes or connect them with the relevant departments.
4. Retention and Cross-Selling:

Contact existing clients before policy expiration for timely renewal and retention.

Cross-sell and upsell other insurance products based on the customer’s profile (e.g., suggesting a health plan to a life insurance holder).

Encourage customers to refer friends and family and expand the customer base.
5. Customer Education and Satisfaction:

Educate clients about financial planning, risk coverage, and the importance of insurance.

Handle customer complaints or escalations professionally and resolve issues promptly.

Build trust and long-term relationships by delivering exceptional service and personalized attention.
6. Documentation and Compliance:

Collect and verify customer documents (KYC, ID proof, income proof, etc.).

Ensure all sales and service activities comply with IRDAI regulations and company policies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
7. Reporting and Coordination:

Submit daily/weekly performance reports including leads contacted, conversions, renewals, and queries handled.

Work closely with the underwriting, claims, and operations teams for case processing.

Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on products and procedures.
