Customer Service Associate
Job Description
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 1–3 years
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree preferred
Languages: Fluent in English and Tamil; proficiency in other regional languages is advantageous
Salary: ₹12,000–₹18,000/month + Incentives
Working Hours: Day Shift (Monday–Saturday)
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:

Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in person in a professional and timely manner.

Listen actively to customer concerns and provide appropriate solutions or alternatives within established guidelines.

Ensure a positive customer experience by addressing issues efficiently and courteously.

Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication.
Issue Resolution:
-
Investigate and resolve product or service complaints by clarifying the customer’s issue, determining the cause, selecting the best solution, and following up to ensure resolution.

Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or management as needed, while maintaining ownership until resolution.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions using CRM or ticketing systems.
Order Processing and Support:

Assist customers with placing new orders, updating existing orders, tracking shipments, and processing returns or exchanges.

Verify and update customer information as necessary.

Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill customer requests effectively and efficiently.
Product and Service Knowledge:

Develop a thorough understanding of company products, services, policies, and procedures to answer questions accurately.

Stay informed of updates, promotions, and policy changes that may affect customer service delivery.

Educate customers about product features and benefits, usage instructions, and additional service offerings.
Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and feedback discussions to enhance performance.

Contribute suggestions for process improvements based on customer feedback and recurring issues.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed and accurate logs of customer interactions using internal tools or CRM systems.

Prepare reports summarizing recurring issues, customer feedback, or performance metrics when requested.

Assist in updating knowledge bases or help center content to improve self-service support options for customers.
