Customer Support Executive
Job Description
Key Responsibilities 1. Outbound Customer Contact
-
Make outbound calls to customers who have enquired about debt help or who have been referred from marketing partners.

Engage customers with empathy, professionalism, and adherence to FCA and TCF guidelines.

Quickly identify vulnerable customers and follow the company’s vulnerability protocol.

Gather essential information on a customer’s debts, income, expenditure, and financial circumstances.

Carry out preliminary affordability assessments to determine whether a DMP or another debt solution may be suitable.

Ensure all information collected is accurate, complete, and recorded in the CRM.

Clearly explain what a Debt Management Plan is, including:
-
how payments work
-
expected timeframes
-
creditor interactions
-
risks and alternative solutions
-

Ensure customers fully understand and that all explanations meet FCA requirements for clarity, fairness, and transparency.

Provide factual, non-advisory information unless the organisation is authorised to give regulated debt advice.

Schedule full advice appointments with an authorised debt adviser or continue the advice process if authorised to do so.

Gather supporting documents (proof of income, creditor statements, expenditure evidence).

Guide customers through onboarding steps including budget reviews, plan approvals, and contractual disclosures.

Liaise with internal compliance teams to ensure every case meets regulatory and company standards.

Follow FCA Conduct of Business rules, GDPR, and internal quality-control procedures.

Ensure all calls, disclosures, and financial details are accurately logged and auditable.

Participate in regular training to maintain compliance competency and up-to-date product knowledge.

Provide feedback to management on lead quality, common customer concerns, and process improvements.

Collaborate with advisers, customer support, and onboarding teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.

Contribute positively to a culture of ethical conduct and customer protection.
