Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Quotations:
- Obtain competitive ocean freight rates from shipping lines and consolidators.
- Prepare and share timely and accurate quotations with sales teams and customers.
- Maintain a database of ocean freight tariffs, surcharges, and contracts.
- Negotiate with carriers and vendors to secure best possible rates and services.
Customer Coordination:
- Act as the point of contact for customers regarding shipment pricing, booking, and updates.
- Coordinate with operations, documentation, and sales teams to ensure service delivery.
- Handle customer queries, resolve service issues, and provide proactive updates.
- Support clients with rate validity, transit times, and service options.
Operations Support:
- Ensure smooth handover of confirmed bookings to the operations team.
- Monitor bookings until final execution, addressing any service gaps.
- Coordinate with carriers, co-loaders, and overseas agents for timely updates.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Maintain records of quotations, rate sheets, and customer correspondence.
- Support management in preparing pricing and volume analysis reports.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, service level agreements, and compliance standards.
