Job Description:
- Compare malware to existing malware signatures.
- Responsible for analysing malicious code by using static and dynamic reverse engineering techniques then liaise with threat intelligence analysts to produce useful and meaning malware signatures.
- Use of industry tools and software, including debuggers, hex editors, disassemblers, un-packers, network sniffers and VMs.
- Act as an advisor to recommend mitigating controls and remediation’s to further prevent the spread of malware, malicious code, and applications. This may also include assistance in post-incident recovery procedures.
- Help design and implement early-warning mechanisms to prevent the spread of malicious code and software.
