Key Responsibilities
1. Data Capture & Extraction

Collect and extract data from multiple internal and external sources including websites, databases, company reports, PDFs, APIs, and Excel files.

Use web scraping tools, ETL processes, and scripts (e.g., Python, SQL, R) to automate data extraction tasks where applicable.

Validate and clean raw data to ensure accuracy and reliability for downstream analysis.
2. Document Review & Summarization

Analyze financial statements, industry reports, regulatory filings, and company press releases.

Summarize lengthy documents into concise formats, highlighting key points relevant to business and industry evaluation.

Extract and organize information on business models, financial performance, and strategic developments.
3. Data Analytics & Interpretation
-
Perform exploratory and descriptive analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers.

Use statistical and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or R) to create dashboards and reports.

Interpret data to uncover insights related to industry dynamics, company performance, competitor analysis, or customer behavior.

Support the development of models and frameworks to quantify business performance indicators (KPIs, ROI, market share, etc.).
4. Industry & Company Research

Conduct secondary research on target industries, market segments, key players, and emerging trends.

Track regulatory, macroeconomic, and sector-specific developments and assess their business implications.

Create company and industry profiles including SWOT analysis, financial health, and market positioning.
5. Reporting & Visualization

Develop custom dashboards and periodic reports for internal teams such as strategy, operations, and senior management.

Use data storytelling techniques to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate with business teams to refine reporting metrics and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
6. Database & Information Management

Maintain and update internal databases with new company or market data.

Ensure the integrity, consistency, and security of stored data.

Collaborate with IT or data engineering teams to improve data pipelines and storage solutions.
