Job Description
Technical. Specific contribution expected from the role: As a QuickSight BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data visualizations and dashboards. You will work closely with data engineers to optimize data layers (SPICE/Direct Query) and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights.Key ResponsibilitiesDashboard Development: Design and build interactive, high-performance dashboards in Amazon QuickSight using various visual types (KPIs, Pivot Tables, Geospatial charts, etc.).Data Modeling: Create and manage QuickSight datasets, utilizing SPICE for high-speed performance or Direct Query for real-time needs.Data Preparation: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to transform raw data into reporting-ready formats.AWS Integration: Connect QuickSight to various data sources including Amazon Redshift, Athena, S3, and RDS.Security & Governance: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Column-Level Security (CLS) to ensure data privacy. Manage user groups, namespaces, and asset sharing via AWS IAM.Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize dashboard load times and query performance.Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and document data lineage and business logic.
