Job Overview
A Data Entry Executive plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, organization, and maintenance of company data. They are responsible for entering, updating, verifying, and managing information in various computer systems and databases. This role requires strong attention to detail, typing proficiency, and accuracy, as even minor mistakes can affect business operations.
Data Entry Executives work closely with different departments, including accounts, administration, operations, sales, and HR, to maintain updated and error-free data records. Their role is essential for ensuring smooth business functioning and efficient decision-making.
- Compare data with the source documents, apart from re-entering data in the verification format, in order to detect errors.
- Compile, sort as well as verify the accuracy of the data before entry is done.
- Maintain the logbooks of activities along with completed work.
- Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking the output.
Required Skills:
- Experience with MS Office and data programs
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
