Job Description

Enter and update patient records, billing details, and hospital data.
 
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of information.
 
Generate reports and ensure data integrity.
 
Coordinate with hospital staff for record management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Entry and Management:

    • Accurately input and update patient details, medical records, and other relevant data into the center’s electronic health records (EHR) system.

    • Process patient information, including personal details, medical history, test results, and treatment plans.

    • Maintain an organized system for managing patient data, ensuring easy retrieval and referencing.

  2. Data Verification and Quality Control:

    • Verify the accuracy of entered data and correct any discrepancies or errors in patient records.

    • Ensure all data is entered in accordance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.

    • Regularly audit and review data to ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards.

  3. Support Administrative Tasks:

    • Assist with the preparation and processing of patient bills, insurance claims, and other administrative paperwork.

    • Help in the preparation of reports, forms, and other documentation required by the medical and administrative teams.

    • Assist in the management of patient appointments, ensuring schedules are updated and accurate in the system.

  4. Confidentiality and Compliance:

    • Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times, adhering to healthcare data protection regulations.

    • Follow the center’s privacy policies and procedures regarding the handling of sensitive information.

    • Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA or relevant local regulations.

  5. Communication:

    • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to obtain any necessary data or information for patient records.

    • Provide accurate and timely information to team members when needed.

    • Respond to queries related to data entry and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

  6. General Office Support:

    • Handle incoming and outgoing communication, including phone calls, emails, and documents.

    • Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying, and organizing medical records.

    • Manage inventory of office supplies and assist in ordering materials when necessary.

  7. Record Maintenance:

    • Organize and file hard copy documents related to patient records and medical data.

    • Keep accurate, up-to-date records of data entry activities and outcomes for future reference.

    • Assist in managing physical and digital archives to ensure a streamlined system.
