Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate information of the databases and systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Input and Processing

Accurately enter data from paper documents, electronic files, forms, or other sources into company databases or software applications.
Update, modify, and maintain data records in various formats (spreadsheets, databases, CRM systems).
Verify data by comparing it to source documents and resolving discrepancies.
Ensure data is entered promptly and accurately to meet deadlines.

2. Data Validation and Quality Control

Perform routine quality checks to detect errors or inconsistencies in data.
Cross-check entered data against source documents to ensure correctness.
Report any data anomalies, missing information, or inaccuracies to supervisors.
Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information during processing.

3. Documentation and Record Keeping

Organize and maintain physical and electronic files related to data entry tasks.
Follow company protocols for data storage and backup.
Assist in generating reports or data extracts for internal use or audits.
Maintain logs of work completed and outstanding tasks.

4. Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with other departments such as finance, HR, sales, or operations to gather required data.
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding workload, issues, or updates.
Assist team members in data-related tasks or troubleshooting software as needed.

5. Adherence to Policies and Procedures

Follow established data entry guidelines, workflows, and confidentiality agreements.
Comply with company standards and legal regulations regarding data handling.
Participate in periodic training to improve skills and update knowledge on software and security policies.
