Job Description
The Data Mgmt Tech Lead will be responsible for leading the development team to develop data management systems and processes. This primarily focuses on data repositories, ETL, and data design and delivery but also includes enhancements to existing platforms and assisting with repository operations. As part of the Data Management & Analytics team, this person will also participate in driving the company's next generation data architectures across the enterprise on conjunction with EAUS architects as well as develop more complex solutions.
One role will be focused on also leading analytics developers. The other role will likely be focused on the Commercial Data Mgmt team.
Delivery of data management solutions, including data repository development, ETC, and incorporation of business logic into data repositories
2. Ongoing enhancement and new feature tracking and delivery, including outside of specific projects
3. Interface with the business analytics teams, IT Functional leads, and DEA architects in to understand requirements and deliver data management solutions
4. Ensures alignment with technical standards and guiding principles (EA Governance, Infrastructure)
5. Assist with platform management and run organization by ensuring systems meet stability, performance, and effectiveness requirements
6. Management of a data mgmt development team, and potentially an analytics development team
7. Scrum Master to ensure overall delivery quality in an agile environment
Qualifications
• 9-11 years’ experience developing data management solutions, including warehouse design, building, and data ingestion/ETL
• Experience with ETL technologies and data mgmt. development
Other qualifications:
• Strong data analysis skills
• Experience with data modelling, especially for warehouses and repositories
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Development expertise with data management design principles
• Ability to communicate well with both business owners and technical staffs, at the appropriate level for both
• Team management experience
• Scrum Master experience in Agile (SAFe experience a plus)
Nice to have qualifications
• Experience with Snowflake, Oracle databases, and Information PowerCenter and/or IICS
• Experience with analytics business intelligence solutions
• Experience with Life Sciences related business process domains, such as drug commercialization, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, or corporate activities
• Understanding of data governance principles
