Position Purpose & Summary

As a Data Science Analyst, you will be part of a team to analyze and discover value through data and data science techniques that drive value for Cargill. In this role, you will collect, analyze, visualize and tell stories with data using statistical concepts/techniques. We seek a professional to handle the development, creation and documentation of our platform level human resources reporting and metrics that provide consistent and clear communication of data and trends, including demographics, compensation decisions, talent management and recruiting, engagement, and affirmative action processes.

In this position you will collaborate with our various businesses and functions, to understand and define the service requests, identify the data sources, collect structured and/or unstructured data sets and perform analytics using tools to meet our business needs and objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Perform data analysis independently to conduct complex analysis requiring a deep understanding of performance variables, data management, measurement and/or analytics, data design principles, concept and practices.
Translate business questions and problems into structured analyses, building standardized dashboards and reports to meet business requirements while maintaining a focus on efficiency and repeatability.
Draw conclusions and effectively present analysis findings to business leaders to recommend and influence the direction of the business.
Collect data to perform integrated analysis to answer business questions, cleansing and blending data for consistent and effective analysis to build sustainable solutions.
Interact with other analysts, data team, regional teams, and subject matter experts to understand and evaluate business requirements.
At this level, work is performed under minimal supervision and the role is expected to independently handle complex issues while and referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Advanced programming skills
Strong operational and analytical skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to influence others to accept new ideas or concepts
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

Related Work Experience

Minimum two years of directly related work experience
Experience in statistics, decision science or similar field.
Experience leading integrated design validation sessions and confirming business requirements
Experience with statistical modeling
Experience with predictive analytical modeling
Work experiences across multiple lines of businesses
