Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Database Administration
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software
Create and manage database instances, schemas, and storage structures
Monitor database performance and optimize queries
Backup & Recovery
Implement backup strategies using RMAN (Recovery Manager)
Perform database recovery in case of failures
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (Data Guard, RAC)
Performance Tuning
Analyze slow queries and optimize SQL performance
Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O)
Use AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports for tuning
Security Management
Manage users, roles, and privileges
Implement database security policies
Perform audits and ensure compliance
Maintenance & Monitoring
Apply patches and updates
Monitor database health and logs
Troubleshoot database issues
