Job Description
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the database team to assist in managing and maintaining databases.
- Assist in installing and configuring database management systems (DBMS).
- Assist in monitoring database performance and ensuring security and integrity.
- Assist in optimizing queries and troubleshooting database issues.
- Help in implementing backup and recovery plans for databases.
- Contribute to database design and development activities.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous exposure to database management through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Understanding of database security and performance tuning.
- Experience with database administration tools.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases could be beneficial.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation tasks.
