Job Description

Our client is also looking for Databricks Data Architect Consultant with more than 10 + years experience and have to be onsite in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and must be local to Mumbai/Navi Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Architecture & Solution Design
-
Define and implement scalable data lakehouse architectures using Databricks and Delta Lake
-
Design end-to-end data pipelines: ingestion, transformation, and consumption using Spark (PySpark/Scala/SQL)
-
Architect and manage multi-zone data lakes with optimal data partitioning and performance tuning

Drive data modeling (dimensional, normalized, or Data Vault) aligned with business use cases
2. Cloud Platform Integration

Design solutions integrating Databricks with cloud-native services (Azure Data Lake Storage, AWS S3, GCP BigQuery, etc.)

Collaborate with cloud architects to ensure best practices for networking, IAM, cost control, and storage governance

Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Databricks CLI, Terraform, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
3. Security, Governance & Compliance
-
Architect and enforce data governance policies using Unity Catalog, role-based access control (RBAC), and audit logs
-
Ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2) across data flows
-
Support metadata management and data lineage implementation
4. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with client teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical data architecture

Conduct architecture reviews, proof of concepts (POCs), and workshops for client education and alignment
-
Advise on Databricks licensing, performance optimization, and cost management strategies
5. Mentorship & Best Practices
-
Guide junior engineers and consultants on Databricks standards and reusable frameworks
-
Establish best practices for data ingestion, version control, job orchestration, and monitoring
-
Stay updated with Databricks product roadmap and contribute to architectural evolution
