Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Delivery Agent to join our logistics team. The Delivery Agent will be tasked with delivering a minimum of 20 orders per day, ensuring timely, safe, and well-presented (decorative) deliveries to customers. This role plays a vital part in customer satisfaction by making sure products are delivered with care and in a visually appealing manner.
Ideal candidates should be punctual, customer-friendly, physically fit, and able to manage daily delivery schedules in an efficient and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Deliveries

Deliver a minimum of 20 customer orders per day, based on the assigned delivery schedule and location.

Collect products from the warehouse or designated pickup points and verify the delivery list.

Ensure that all packages are accurately labeled and ready for dispatch before starting the delivery route.
2. Decorative Presentation of Deliveries

Handle deliveries with care, ensuring all products are clean, intact, and decoratively presented as per company or client specifications.

Follow specific packaging guidelines — such as ribbons, stickers, covers, or thematic presentation — especially for gift orders, food items, or customized goods.

Carry necessary materials (bags, wrapping supplies, etc.) and ensure each delivery meets quality expectations.
3. Customer Interaction

Greet customers politely at the time of delivery and confirm order details with professionalism.

Offer courteous, helpful service during handover, and answer basic questions if required.

Request customer confirmation/signature or OTP as proof of successful delivery.

Handle cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions, if applicable, and return collected payments to the accounts team.
4. Route Planning and Time Management

Plan the most efficient route to ensure timely delivery of all orders.

Use company apps, GPS, or route maps to manage navigation.

Report any traffic, delays, or delivery challenges to the supervisor promptly.
5. Product Handling and Safety

Ensure the safety of the products during transportation — fragile, perishable, or decorative items should be handled with extra care.

Inspect each item before delivery to confirm it matches the order and is undamaged.

Secure the cargo in the delivery vehicle or carry bags to prevent shifting or damage.
6. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain a delivery log or update company CRM/app with the status of each delivery.

Report undelivered orders, failed attempts, or customer complaints with details and reasons.

Return undelivered items to the warehouse at the end of the day.
7. Maintenance and Appearance

Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear the company uniform or ID if provided.

Ensure delivery bags or vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and branded if applicable.

Follow company hygiene and COVID safety guidelines at all times.
