Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Delivery & Timeliness:
-
Collect and deliver packages, goods, or orders to the specified customer locations within the designated time frame.

Ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and in accordance with the customer’s preferences and instructions.

Follow the assigned routes or GPS instructions to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
-
Ensure all products are securely packed and undamaged during transit.
-
Perform deliveries within predefined geographical locations or areas, depending on company requirements.
2. Customer Interaction & Satisfaction:
-
Greet customers politely and professionally upon arrival at their location.
-
Ensure that the products are handed over in perfect condition and collect payment (if required) upon delivery.

Address customer inquiries, provide brief product information, and respond to any questions in a courteous and friendly manner.

Handle complaints, damages, or delivery issues with a positive attitude and ensure immediate resolution.

Ensure that all necessary documentation, such as receipts or signatures, is completed as required.
3. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:
-
Operate and maintain the delivery vehicle (bike, scooter, van, etc.) in good condition.
-
Conduct regular checks to ensure the vehicle is fueled, cleaned, and properly maintained to avoid delays or issues.

Follow traffic regulations and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure personal and public safety during deliveries.

Ensure that delivery vehicles are parked responsibly and safely when making stops.
4. Delivery Documentation & Reporting:

Ensure that all deliveries are documented properly, including proof of delivery, customer signatures, and payment receipts.

Report any issues related to damaged goods, incorrect orders, or delivery failures to the supervisor immediately.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption for operational reporting purposes.

Ensure that all orders and customer information are entered into the system correctly.
5. Handling Cash or Payment Transactions:
-
Collect payment (if applicable) from customers, ensuring that it is accurately processed and recorded.

Follow company policies regarding payment handling, including ensuring the correct change is provided.

Report any payment discrepancies to the supervisor and resolve issues promptly.
6. Return of Unsuccessful Deliveries:
-
In cases where delivery cannot be completed (e.g., customer unavailable), return the undelivered product to the warehouse or office.
-
Coordinate with the operations team or customer support for any follow-up actions such as re-scheduling deliveries or processing returns.
7. Product Knowledge:
-
Gain a basic understanding of the products being delivered to answer customer questions, especially in the case of e-commerce or food delivery.

Ensure the proper handling of fragile, perishable, or valuable items during transport.
