Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pickup and Delivery Operations:

Collect packages, orders, or consignments from the warehouse, vendor, or pickup point as per schedule.

Deliver items to customer addresses across the assigned delivery zone while maintaining punctuality.

Handle products with care and ensure there is no damage or tampering during transit.

Obtain customer signature or delivery confirmation on mobile apps or paperwork.
2. Route and Time Management:
-
Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize deliveries and minimize fuel or time wastage.

Use navigation tools (Google Maps or delivery apps) to find addresses and optimize delivery time.

Manage multiple deliveries per day while meeting daily quota targets and timing commitments.

Inform the supervisor about any route issues, traffic disruptions, or delivery obstacles.
3. Customer Interaction:

Maintain a polite, respectful, and service-friendly demeanor during every customer interaction.

Handle queries or complaints professionally and report unresolved issues to the delivery supervisor.

Communicate proactively with customers in case of delays or if clarification on address or delivery is needed.
4. Safety and Compliance:
-
Follow all traffic rules, driving regulations, and safety protocols during transit.

Wear prescribed uniforms and safety gear (helmet, gloves, reflective jackets) at all times.

Maintain vehicle hygiene and ensure it is in good condition.

Adhere to COVID-19 or health-related guidelines (contactless delivery, hygiene protocols) if applicable.
5. Payment Collection and Documentation (if required):

Collect cash on delivery (COD) payments from customers and deposit them accurately at the end of the shift.

Issue invoices or receipts and maintain a clear record of transactions.

Ensure that digital payments (QR codes, UPI) are processed correctly and confirmed in real time.

Maintain accurate documentation or app entries for each delivery (completed, failed, rescheduled).
