Job Description

*DELIVERY BOY NEEDED*
Job Role:

• Deliver food orders safely and on time

• Handle cash/payments when required

Requirements:

• Valid driving license (Two-wheeler)

• Own bike preferred

• Knowledge of local area.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Pickup:
- Receive order details through a mobile app or directly from the restaurant.
- Reach the restaurant or kitchen on time to collect food.
- Ensure the food items are packed correctly and match the customer’s order.
- Double-check order numbers, bills, and packaging to avoid errors.
Food Delivery:
- Deliver food promptly to the customer’s location using a two-wheeler or bicycle.
- Use navigation tools like Google Maps or the company’s app to find the delivery address.
- Ensure that the food is delivered in good condition—hot items stay hot, cold items stay cold.
- Handle food with care and follow hygiene and safety protocols during delivery.
Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers politely and hand over the order with a smile.
- Collect payment (if applicable) through cash, card, or mobile wallet.
- Respond respectfully to any customer queries or issues during delivery.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance as a representative of the restaurant or delivery platform.
Delivery App Usage:
- Log in to the delivery app and stay active during assigned working hours.
- Accept and manage orders through the app.
- Update delivery status—Picked Up, On the Way, Delivered—on the app.
- Follow app instructions and company policies.
Vehicle Maintenance (if using own vehicle):
- Keep the delivery vehicle (bike/scooter/cycle) in good condition.
- Ensure all legal documents (license, registration, insurance) are valid.
- Maintain fuel levels and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow traffic rules and drive responsibly.
Reporting:
- Report to the supervisor daily or as instructed.
- Share delivery records and any customer feedback.
- Inform about any delays, accidents, or order issues during shifts.
Team Coordination:
- Cooperate with restaurant staff and fellow delivery agents.
- Attend briefings or training sessions if required.
- Support in managing high-volume orders during peak hours or festivals.
