Job Summary:
We are looking for a punctual, dependable, and motivated Delivery Boy to join our logistics and delivery team. The primary responsibility is to deliver packages, goods, or food orders to customers on time, safely, and in good condition. The ideal candidate should have a valid driving license, knowledge of local areas, and a customer-friendly attitude.
Whether delivering food, documents, medical supplies, e-commerce orders, or groceries, the delivery boy plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and company reliability. This role also involves basic reporting, cash handling (if applicable), and coordination with team leaders or dispatchers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery Operations:

Pick up items (food, parcels, documents, or other goods) from the assigned store, restaurant, warehouse, or hub.

Deliver goods to customers’ homes, offices, or designated locations promptly and in excellent condition.

Ensure correct and safe handling of fragile or sensitive items during transit.
2. Route Planning and Navigation:

Use Google Maps, GPS devices, or route sheets to identify the shortest and most efficient delivery paths.

Avoid traffic delays by planning routes based on real-time traffic updates.

Deliver multiple orders accurately during high-volume hours.
3. Customer Interaction:

Greet customers politely and maintain a positive attitude.

Confirm customer identity and ensure delivery verification (OTP, signature, or digital confirmation).

Handle customer complaints or delivery issues with patience and report them to the supervisor when needed.
4. Payment Handling (if applicable):

Collect cash on delivery (COD) from customers, if required.

Provide exact change and issue receipts as per company policy.

Submit collected payments and receipts to the finance/accounts team at the end of the day or shift.
5. Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain a daily delivery log including number of deliveries, time, distance covered, and feedback (if any).

Report unsuccessful deliveries or any delivery-related issues (e.g., address not found, recipient unavailable).

Communicate effectively with dispatch teams, supervisors, and customer care when needed.
6. Vehicle Maintenance and Care:

Ensure regular servicing and cleanliness of the delivery vehicle (bike/scooter or cycle).

Check fuel level, tire pressure, brakes, and basic mechanical conditions before starting the delivery round.

Report any damage, accident, or repair needs immediately to the supervisor.
