A Delivery Boy is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering goods or packages safely and on time. They play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing prompt and reliable delivery services.Key Responsibilities
1. Pickup & Delivery
- Collect goods, parcels, or food items from the assigned pickup location.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers at the specified address.
- Follow the best route for fast and efficient deliveries.
2. Customer Service & Communication
- Confirm delivery details with customers before drop-off.
- Handle cash payments, digital transactions, or receipts if required.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and customer-friendly attitude.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Follow traffic rules and safety regulations while driving/riding.
- Ensure goods are handled with care and delivered in perfect condition.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and necessary documentation (license, insurance, etc.).
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Keep records of delivered items, payment receipts, and customer signatures.
- Report any delays, accidents, or delivery issues to the supervisor.
- Use GPS tracking or mobile apps to update delivery status in real-time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with local areas, roads, and shortcuts.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
