Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery Operations
-
Pick up items from the company’s warehouse, store, or pickup point and deliver them to customers as per the scheduled routes or assigned orders.

Ensure all packages are handled with care and delivered in good condition.

Obtain signatures or delivery confirmations from customers, as required.
2. Route and Time Management
-
Plan the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.

Use GPS navigation or delivery management apps to track routes and manage time.

Communicate any delays, issues, or route changes to the supervisor promptly.
3. Customer Interaction
-
Communicate courteously with customers during pickup or drop-off.

Assist customers with basic inquiries regarding the delivery when needed.

Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive customer experience.
4. Documentation and Reporting
-
Maintain accurate delivery logs including customer details, delivery times, and status updates.

Report any delivery issues, vehicle problems, or unusual occurrences to the supervisor or manager.

Handle and submit cash on delivery (COD) payments or collect digital payments if required.
5. Safety and Vehicle Care
-
Follow traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety during deliveries.

Perform basic vehicle inspections and ensure it is clean, fueled, and roadworthy.

Report maintenance needs or damage to the company vehicle promptly (if using a company vehicle).
