A Deployment Engineer FTTH (Fiber to the Home) is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the deployment of FTTH networks, ensuring timely and efficient rollout of fiber optic infrastructure. This involves various tasks, including network design, material management, team coordination, and adherence to quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Planning and Design:
• Designing FTTH network architecture, including ODN (Optical Distribution Network) for towns and new launch areas, fiber optic cable routes, and jointing schematics. 
• Material Management:
• Ensuring the availability of necessary OSP (Outside Plant) and ISP (Inside Plant) materials for project execution. 
• Project Execution:
• Directing and guiding survey teams, validating designs, and coordinating with Local Cable Operators (LCOs). 
• Coordination and Collaboration:
• Working with cross-functional teams, including transport, commercial, marketing, and planning teams, to facilitate the FTTH rollout. 
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality norms for fiber optic network deployment. 
• Troubleshooting and Commissioning:
• Conducting OLT (Optical Line Terminal) commissioning and troubleshooting, along with OFC (Optical Fiber Cable) splicing and fault rectification. 
• Reporting and Monitoring:
• Preparing reports on project progress, monitoring timelines, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. 
• Cost Management:
• Conducting cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for new projects, as well as preparing CAPEX and OPEX for deployment and maintenance. 
• Team Management:
• Potentially managing teams of engineers and technicians involved in FTTH deployment. 
• Adherence to Processes:
• Ensuring adherence to Airtel's processes and procedures for FTTH rollout, including timely configuration of CEN (Customer Edge Node) and OLT. 
• Partnership Management:
• Potentially onboarding new partners and enhancing the capabilities of existing ones. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of FTTH/FTTX network architecture, fiber optic technologies, splicing, and related equipment. 
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing and coordinating complex projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. 
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder management. 
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems efficiently. 
• Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for fiber optic network deployment. 
• Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies. 
• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is typically required.
