Job Description
Position: Product Manager – CDMO & CMO Business Operations
Role Purpose
The Product Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating CDMO/CMO
business operations and project activities from project initiation to completion. The role
requires close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external CDMO partners
to ensure smooth project execution, timely delivery, regulatory alignment, and achievement
of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
Monitor and track CDMO/CMO project activities from inception to closure,
ensuring timelines and deliverables are achieved.
Manage key project management parameters including schedule, cost, resources,
risk management, and project deliverables.
Drive project planning, prioritization, and progress tracking to ensure operational
efficiency and timely execution.
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and regular communication of project
status to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate and proactively interact with internal stakeholders, functional
managers, and external CDMO partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with organizational leaders, subject matter experts, and business
teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Coordinate with the Regulatory Affairs team for country-specific regulatory
requirements and approvals.
Coordinate with R&D and F&D teams for product development, formulation
development, and technical feasibility.
Work with the Supply Chain team for production planning, scheduling, and
execution.
Commercial & Business Support
Support preparation of commercial proposals in coordination with the product
costing team.
Coordinate with the Legal team for preparation and finalization of term sheets,
agreements, and strategic alliances related to CDMO/CMO projects.
Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external CDMO partners to
support long-term collaboration and business growth.
Process Improvement & Knowledge Management
Contribute to the development and enhancement of project management
capabilities within the organization.
Facilitate knowledge transfer and integration initiatives to improve project
execution efficiency and best practice adoption.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of project management principles and operational
coordination.
Experience in CDMO/CMO business operations or pharmaceutical project
management will be preferred.
Proficiency in project management tools/software for tracking timelines,
deliverables, and resources.
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong planning and
prioritization capabilities.
Educational Qualification
B.Pharm / M.Pharm or Master’s Degree in Project Management / Life Sciences /
Pharmaceutical Management
Additional Qualification (Preferred)
Project Management Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent will be
an added advantage.
