Job Description
- Clinical Operations: Overseeing daily hospital operations, including clinical services, patient care, surgical procedures, and medical records.
- Medical Records: Maintaining medical records and ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
- Monitoring Patient Care: Making daily rounds to assess patient conditions and ensure proper care is provided.
- Attending OPD and Indoor Patients: Attending to patients in the Outpatient Department (OPD) and indoor wards as assigned by the Medical Superintendent.
- Briefing Physicians: Properly briefing the Physician-In-Charge regarding the treatment and course of action for patients under their care, especially when the physician is away.
- Hospital Management: Assisting in planning, organizing, and coordinating medical and healthcare services.
- Resource Management: Managing resources effectively, including budget management and cost reduction initiatives.
- Policy Implementation: Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of patient care and hospital operations.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing and overseeing quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accreditation standards.
- Staff Management: Supervising and mentoring healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other staff.
- Communication: Facilitating communication among clinicians and staff.
- Coordination: Coordinating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
- Medical Statistics: Maintaining medical statistics and proper medical documents.
- Medical Audit: Coordinating medical audits and arranging for committee meetings.
- Attendance Registers: Maintaining attendance registers.
- Inquiry and Reporting: Conducting inquiries and reporting findings.
- Human Resources Management: Assisting in human resource management activities, such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Financial Management: Assisting in financial management activities, such as budget preparation and expenditure control.
- Teaching and Training: Assisting in teaching and training programs for medical students and nursing staff.
- Research: Participating in research activities in collaboration with the Medical Superintendent.
- Liaison: Acting as a liaison between the management and the medical staff, and between the hospital and external organizations.
- Escorting Visitors: Escorting special visitors, Nursing Superintendent, and Medical Superintendent for hospital rounds.
- Public Relations: Maintaining good public relations.
- Participating in Functions: Participating in professional and social functions of the staff and students.
