Job Description
Job Summary:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and testing designs using CAD software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, a technical mindset, and a passion for design innovation.
1. Creating function requirements from initial concept from initial product concept and transferring the requirement into product structure design (concept to prototype, prototype to product).2. 2D and 3D Drawings
3. Material selection, manufacturing process selection and component trial, liaison with supplier and sourcing team from development of sample and trial lots
4. Prepare product report and documentation.
5. Troubleshoot and Problem Analysis .
Key Responsibilities:
Product & System Design:
- Develop 3D models, technical drawings, and blueprints using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or CREO.
- Ensure design feasibility, functionality, and compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Modify and improve existing designs for better performance and cost-efficiency.
Prototyping & Testing:
- Work with production and R&D teams to build and test prototypes.
- Conduct stress analysis, simulations, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for performance evaluation.
- Troubleshoot design flaws and optimize components for durability and efficiency.
Project Management & Documentation:
- Maintain technical documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design reports.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams for design implementation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and emerging technologies.
