Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Candle Design & Development:
-
Create unique, visually appealing candle designs in various styles (container candles, pillar, sculptural, scented, seasonal, etc.).

Develop new scent combinations, color palettes, and wax formulations that align with the brand identity.

Use different types of wax (soy, paraffin, beeswax, coconut, etc.), wicks, molds, and fragrance oils to test product variations.

Conduct burn tests to ensure quality, safety, and performance of each new recipe or product line.
2. Product Testing & Quality Control:
-
Document test results related to fragrance throw, burn time, tunneling, soot levels, and wick behavior.

Make data-driven decisions to refine candle recipes and correct performance issues.

Ensure that all candles meet internal quality standards before going to production or sale.
3. Inventory Management:
-
Track inventory of raw materials (wax, oils, wicks, jars, labels, packaging) and finished candles.

Maintain records of usage, waste, and reordering needs.

Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing materials and staying within budget.
4. Production Support:
-
Assist in small-batch or bulk production of candles as per demand and schedule.

Label, package, and prepare candles for display or shipping, ensuring consistency and presentation.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area for efficiency and safety.
5. Sales and Customer Service (as needed):
-
Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers during events or direct sales.

Support online or in-store customer queries regarding scents, customization, care instructions, or returns.

Gather customer feedback on new designs or fragrances and report insights to improve future offerings.
6. Creative and Marketing Collaboration:
-
Work with the marketing team or owner to plan seasonal collections, gift sets, or promotional items.

Assist in creating content or visuals for social media, website, or product catalogs (optional but a plus).

Stay updated with trends in home décor, wellness, and fragrance to keep product ideas fresh and relevant.
