Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
System Setup and Configuration:
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems for end users.
Deploy operating systems, software applications, and system updates using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, or similar.
Configure system settings, user accounts, and network connections according to company policies.
Technical Support:
Provide first and second-level support to users experiencing hardware, software, or networking issues.
Respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner and document resolution steps.
Assist users remotely or in-person, depending on the nature of the issue.
Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or specialized teams as needed.
Hardware Management:
Troubleshoot and repair or replace faulty hardware, including hard drives, RAM, power supplies, and peripherals.
Manage asset inventory, including tracking the assignment and return of IT equipment.
Set up new hardware and manage decommissioning of outdated devices securely.
Software and Patch Management:
Install, configure, and update software applications and system drivers.
Test and deploy patches and security updates across the desktop fleet.
Ensure software licensing compliance and audit readiness.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain security policies on endpoint systems (e.g., encryption, antivirus, firewall settings).
Ensure adherence to company IT security standards and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO.
Assist in responding to audits and maintaining necessary documentation.
Mobile Device Management:
Configure and support mobile devices (iOS, Android) used for business purposes.
Enforce security policies and manage devices via MDM tools like Microsoft Intune or VMware Workspace ONE.
User Training and Documentation:
Provide guidance and training to end users on basic IT tools, security awareness, and company systems.
Maintain documentation for common troubleshooting procedures and IT support processes.
Contribute to internal knowledge bases or IT handbooks.
Project Participation:
Assist in IT projects such as office moves, system upgrades, and rollouts of new technology.
Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and application support teams.
Participate in planning and testing phases to ensure minimal disruption during transitions.
