Desktop Support Engineer
Job Description
We are looking to hire a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer for on-site technical support. This is a field job that involves visiting client locations to install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide on-site support for hardware, software, and networking issues

Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, software, and LAN/WAN

Coordinate with remote IT teams for escalated issues

Maintain documentation and service logs for each client visit

Provide technical training and support to end-users when needed
Required Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS, basic Linux).

Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and component-level replacements.

Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

Experience with IT support ticketing systems and remote support tools (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and standard business software.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle technical issues under pressure.
