Job Description
Position: Development Manager
Essential Functions:
- Hiring, onboarding and training new employees
- Initiate and drive best practices to bring predictability for the project progress
- Actively communicates with team members and the Development Director about the work and project status
- Actively escalates issues to the Development Director
- Supports and coordinates with the members of distributed development teams
- Occasionally travels internationally for gathering requirements, project planning and training
Key skills required:
- Proven track record of building and managing high performing teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent Leadership skills and able to deliver on the timelines
- Able to guide and mentor members of the team professionally
- Handle 1-on-1 and provide critical, yet constructive, feedback on a regular basis
- Lead conversations and facilitate meetings to drive successful conclusions
- Focused on delivering what needs to be done
- Strong personal ownership and ability to set and meet high professional standards, flexible and responsive work style
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Arts, Science, Commerce or Human Resource Management
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in a management role
- Extensive offshore experience working with teams in India
