DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN Job in Platinum Hospital Pvt. at Thane, Mumbai

The Dialysis Technician is responsible for the safe and effective operation of dialysis systems, delivery of hemodialysis therapy, monitoring of patients during treatment, and maintenance of dialysis equipment in compliance with clinical, technical, and infection control standards.

• Perform hemodialysis procedures as per nephrologist’s prescription and standard operating protocols

• Prepare and prime dialysis machines, dialyzers, bloodlines, and consumables

• Ensure correct dialysate composition, flow rates, ultrafiltration targets, and anticoagulation parameters

• Cannulate AV fistula, graft, or manage dialysis catheters using aseptic technique

• Continuously monitor vital signs, machine parameters, and patient response during dialysis

• Identify and manage dialysis-related complications (hypotension, cramps, disequilibrium, air embolism) and escalate appropriately

• Operate and maintain hemodialysis machines (e.g., Fresenius, B. Braun, Baxter, Nipro, etc.)

• Monitor and maintain RO water treatment systems, ensuring compliance with AAMI standards

• Perform routine disinfection, calibration, and preventive maintenance of dialysis equipment

• Document machine performance, alarms, and corrective actions

• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, including handling of HBV/HCV/HIV-positive patients

• Follow biomedical waste management and disinfection guidelines

• Ensure compliance with radiation-free electrical safety, water quality, and chemical handling norms

• Maintain accurate dialysis treatment records, machine logs, and patient charts

• Ensure documentation as per NABH / statutory requirements

• Support audits, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Coordinate with nephrologists, nurses, and support staff for smooth dialysis unit operations

• Educate patients on dialysis procedure, access care, and safety precautions

• Provide emotional support and ensure patient comfort during treatment

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Dialysis Technology / Renal Dialysis Technology

• Certification from a recognized institute is mandatory
