Job Description

The Institute for Social and Economic Change, (ISEC), Bangalore, was established in 1972, and well known for its inter-disciplinary research in the social sciences. is looking for a Director. This position will fall vacant as the term of the present Director will be coming to an end in January 2020.

The prospective candidate must be a distinguished social scientist who should have had an impressive academic career consisting of experience as a Professor or equivalent, a good experience of teaching, research and administrative experiences.

Preferably 60 years or less. The retirement age of the Director is 65 years.

The salary and other benefits of the Director’s position are commensurate with that of the Vice-Chancellor in Universities in Karnataka. Free furnished residential accommodation is available on campus and transport facilities are also provided for official use.
