Exploration Assistant (Group 'C' Post) / 1 Post -General Category
Qualification: I) Master's or 3 years Honours Degree in Sanskrit or Ancient Indian History or Culture. ii) Some experience in Archaeology or in similar Research organisation. iii) Knowledge of Konkani . Desirable: Knowledge of Indian Paleography. ii) Knowledge of Marathi .
Conservation Assistant (Group 'C' Post) / 1 Post -General Category
Qualification: i) Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institution. ii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: i) Experience in conducting repairs to ancient monuments, framing estimates etc. ii) Knowledge of Marathi
Lower Division Clerk (Group 'C' Post) /1 Post -General Category
Qualification: i) H.S.S.C. or equivalent qualification from recognized Institution. ii) Should be Computer literate. iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: i) Knowledge of Marathi .
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200
4. Library Attendant (Group 'D' Post) /1 Post - OBC Category
Qualification: i) Middle School or equivalent ii) Experience of working in a Library of repute or in any Govt. Library iii) Knowledge of Konkani & Marathi
5.Gardener (Group 'D' Post) /1 OBC Category
Qualification: i) Middle School or equivalent 11.) Three years experience in gardening . Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: i) Knowledge of Marathi .

The Directorate of Archives & Archaeology is the oldest Archives in the country. Established on 25thFebruary, 1595 by the famous Historian Diogo do Couto, also its first Records Keeper, the Archives was named as “Torre do Tombo do Estado da India”. The oldest Portuguese record is of the year 1498. Currently the Goa Archives is designated as Directorate of Archives & Archaeology headed by Smt.Blossom Medeira.
