Job Description
Assistant Professor Anatomy recruitment in Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh in Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Govt. Medical College, Mandi on contract basis
Qualification : i. A ecognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part -ii of the third schedule (other than a licentiate qualification) to the Indian medical council act, 1956. holders of educational qualification included in part-ii of the third schedule should also fulfill the condition stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian medical council act, 1956. 2. A postgraduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in part-a of annexure -ii or its equivalent qualifications. 3. At least 3 years teaching experience as lecturer /registrar /demonstrator /resident after doing post graduation in concerned specialty in any recognized medical college.
Desirable qualification : Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

The Government of Himachal Pradesh has created a separate and independent Directorate of Medical Education & Research in the year 1996-97. The main objective behind its creation/establishment was to integrate all Medical Education services i.e. Medical, Dental, Nursing & Para-Medical under the overall supervision/control of Deptt. of Medical Education & Research. Prior to 1996-97, only one Medical College and one Dental College in Govt. sector and one Dental College in private sector were functioning.
