Dispatcher - Cake Factory
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our team at the cake factory. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our delicious products are delivered to our clients on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities:Route Planning & Scheduling: Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for our drivers, considering factors like traffic, delivery deadlines, and client locations.
Driver Coordination: Communicate with drivers throughout the day, providing them with clear instructions, updates, and support.
Order Management: Prepare delivery manifests and ensure all orders are accurately picked, packed, and loaded onto the delivery vehicles.
Problem Resolution: Handle any issues that may arise during deliveries, such as delays, missed items, or vehicle problems.
Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the factory, drivers, and clients, ensuring smooth and clear communication.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including delivery times, client signatures, and any returned goods.
Experience: Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is highly preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with logistics software and GPS systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and a keen attention to detail.
Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, to accommodate delivery schedules.
