Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Distributor & Retail Sales Management

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through distributor channel partners.

Generate primary and secondary sales through effective route planning and field activity.

Ensure optimal stock availability at distributor and retail points by monitoring inventory and placing timely orders.

Track product movement from distributor to retailer and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
2. Relationship Building
-
Develop strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and stockists to ensure smooth business operations.

Onboard new retailers and expand the market base within the assigned territory.

Resolve distributor or retailer issues such as order delays, payment terms, product complaints, or promotional queries.
3. Market Expansion and Penetration
-
Identify new territories, potential retailers, or underperforming zones for business development.

Work with the sales manager to devise strategies to penetrate untapped markets and increase product visibility.

Collect feedback from the market and customers to inform product, pricing, and promotional strategies.
4. Trade Marketing Execution
-
Coordinate and implement promotional schemes, seasonal offers, and product campaigns at the distributor/retail level.

Ensure branding materials (posters, displays, shelf strips, banners) are appropriately installed and maintained.

Conduct in-store activations, dealer meets, and local awareness events as required.
5. Data Reporting and Analysis

Maintain detailed records of daily sales, distributor stock, retail coverage, and scheme utilization.

Use sales data to prepare performance reports and suggest actionable strategies for improvement.

Share market intelligence regarding competitor activities, pricing, and channel feedback with the regional team.
6. Compliance and Operational Discipline

Ensure distributors comply with billing, stock rotation, order fulfillment, and payment guidelines.

Monitor and enforce adherence to credit policies, collection cycles, and invoice accuracy.

Follow all company policies related to pricing, schemes, and inventory control.
