Job Description
Advt. No. DFSIO/68(1)/2019 ,Notification No. 311/HF/CFS/2A-20/13/Pt.
District Food Safety Inspecting Officer recruitment in the cadre of West Bengal General Service, under the Commissioner of Food Safety & Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal.
Qualification: Holder of a degree in Food Technology, or Dairy Technology, or Biotechnology, or Oil Technology, or Agricultural Science, or Veterinary Sciences, or Bio-Chemistry, or Microbiology, or Masters Degree in Chemistry, or Degree in Medicine from a recognized University. OR Holder of any other equivalent/ recognized qualification notified by the Central Government; and at least 5 years-working experience in the field of Food Safety & Standards.
However, no person who has any financial interest in the manufacture, import, or Sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food Safety inspecting Officer under the Food Safety and standard Rules, 2011. Knowledge of Bengali and other Languages --- spoken and written is necessary.

Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,000/- – 40,500/- [Grade Pay – Rs. 4,700/-]. Other allowances will be admissible as per Government order in force.
Age : Shall not be less than 21 Years and not more than 36 years as on 1st. January, 2019.
Fee : Candidates must submit the application fee amounting to Rs. 210/- (Rupees two hundred ten only) through GRIPS ( Govt. Receipt Portal System ).
