Job Description
Job Summary:
A Dot Net Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web and desktop applications using the Microsoft .NET framework. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to develop scalable and secure software solutions.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in C#, ASP.NET (MVC/Core), and SQL Server, along with experience in modern development practices, object-oriented programming (OOP), and agile methodologies. A .NET developer should be a problem-solver with a passion for writing clean, maintainable code and continuously learning new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Development:

Develop and maintain web-based and desktop applications using .NET technologies (ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET).

Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.

Collaborate with frontend developers and designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Design and implement APIs and backend services for internal and external applications.
2. Software Architecture and Design:

Participate in requirement gathering, system design, and solution architecture discussions.

Create software design documents and technical specifications.

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs from a backend perspective.

Apply software engineering principles and best practices in architecture, modularity, and maintainability.
3. Database Management:

Design and develop relational databases using MS SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and indexing.

Perform database optimizations and write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting.

Ensure data integrity, security, and performance tuning in all .NET applications.
4. Debugging and Testing:

Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of applications.

Collaborate with QA engineers to resolve bugs and ensure applications meet quality standards.

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
5. Deployment and Maintenance:

Deploy applications on IIS, Azure, or other hosting platforms.

Maintain existing software by troubleshooting and fixing bugs.

Monitor application performance and make improvements based on feedback or metrics.

Provide technical support and training to end users or junior developers as needed.
6. Team Collaboration & Documentation:

Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment with regular sprint planning and stand-ups.

Contribute to project timelines, estimations, and task prioritization.

Document technical workflows, APIs, database schema, and deployment processes.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, project managers, and team leads.
