Job Description

Role Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Draftsman (Design and Engineering) role is to create detailed technical drawings and plans based on the specifications provided by engineers and designers. This position is crucial in ensuring that projects accurately represent and comply with industry standards, facilitating clear communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.

Key Activities (Role & Responsibility):The Electrical Draftsman develops accurate electrical schematics and technical drawings for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans using CAD software. Collaborating with engineers and project managers to gather requirements and integrate feedback is essential.
The draftsman revises drawings based on project updates and maintains organized records for compliance. They ensure designs meet relevant codes and safety standards, like the National Electrical Code (NEC).
They perform calculations for materials and create both rough sketches and detailed drawings. Effective communication with engineers helps incorporate knowledge into design
Identifying potential design issues and communicating them to the team is crucial.

A solid understanding of electrical principles and industry standards is essential. The role typically

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Experience Computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), Ability to draw manually favorable, but not essential.
Ability to work well in a team and on your own. Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
