Driver recruitment in Himachal Pradesh PSC (on contract basis)
No. of Post : Total =02 (UR-1, SC=1)
Essential Qualification(s) : (i) Should have passed Matriculation Examination or its equivalent from recognized Board of School Education/Institution. (ii) Must possess valid driving licence for the plying of heavy/light vehicles in Hilly terrain. (b)Desirable Qualification(s): Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
Pay Scale : Rs. 5910-20200 +Rs. 2000 G.P.
Age : Between 18 years and 45 years
Examination Fees: The detail of fee for respective categories is as under:-
1. General Category – Rs. 400/-
2. General BPL –Rs. 100/-
3. S.C. of H.P. /S.T. of H.P. /O.B.C. of H.P.-Rs. 100/-
4. Ex-Servicemen of H.P. (Ex-Servicemen, who are relieved from Defence Services after completion of normal tenure). - No Fee
The candidates can pay requisite examination fee either through ‘e-Challan’ or ‘e-Payment’ option.
Scheme of Examination Written Objective Type Examination /Type Test /Evaluation:
1. In cases where the number of eligible candidates is inordinately large in proportion to the number of posts, the Commission may restrict the number of candidates to be called for driving skill test by subjecting all the eligible candidates to a written objective type Examination (MCQ). Marks obtained in Written objective type Examination (MCQ) shall be counted for deciding the merit of candidate. The candidates to be declared qualified in the written objective test shall be subject to driving skill test which is qualifying in nature. Final selection of candidate will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written objective type examination; passing the driving skill test and evaluation based on the parameters devised by the Department of Personnel vide its Notification

(i) Written objective type Examination =85 marks
(ii) Driving skill Test =Qualifying nature
(iii) Evaluation: As per =15 marks
