Job Description
Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced and responsible Driver with a valid commercial badge license to join our team. This role is for a leading interior company and involves daily deliveries to client sites, picking up materials from suppliers, and ensuring proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle. The position is for general shift only – no night duties – and comes with weekly Sunday off.
The ideal candidate must be well-versed in city routes, punctual, careful with materials, and capable of handling multiple delivery and collection tasks throughout the day. A proactive attitude toward vehicle upkeep and schedule adherence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transportation & Deliveries:

Safely transport materials and goods from the warehouse to various client sites and project locations.

Deliver interior-related products, furniture, fittings, or raw materials as per the daily schedule.

Follow delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely arrival and avoid project delays.
2. Supplier Collection:
-
Visit suppliers across the city or nearby regions to collect materials, components, or documents as instructed.

Ensure proper handling and verification of goods collected from suppliers.
3. Vehicle Maintenance & Condition Check:

Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, brakes, lights, tire pressure, etc.) to ensure safe operation.

Report any mechanical issues or required maintenance immediately to the operations team.

Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy, and legally compliant (insurance, PUC, RC, etc.).
4. Schedule Management:

Coordinate with the logistics coordinator or store manager to follow the day’s delivery and pickup plan.

Ensure that materials are loaded and unloaded safely at the correct locations.

Maintain communication with the office team during the day to update on status or route changes.
5. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain a delivery log, including time, location, materials delivered, and any discrepancies.

Collect signatures or delivery confirmations at sites.

Submit delivery receipts, collection slips, or invoices as per company procedure.
Job Requirements:

Valid Commercial Driving License (Badge License) is mandatory.

Minimum 2–5 years of driving experience (preferably in logistics or delivery roles).

Familiar with city routes, traffic rules, and safe driving practices.

Ability to load/unload materials when required (with or without assistance).

Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.

Must be punctual, disciplined, and presentable.
Working Conditions:

Working Hours: General Day Shift (No Night Duty)

Weekly Off: Sunday

Job may require multiple site visits or supplier collections per day.

Must be willing to work in all areas of the city (depending on delivery route).

May occasionally work with a helper or assistant depending on load type.
