Job Title: Driver – Ola / Rapido / Uber
Department: Operations / Transportation
Reports To: Fleet Manager / Operations Manager
Location: Chennai
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Work Timings: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Salary: Daily Income / Weekly Income (based on trips completed)
Gender Preference: Male
Job Summary:
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and reliable transportation services using personal or company vehicles for ride-hailing platforms such as Ola, Rapido, and Uber. The role requires adherence to traffic rules, customer service standards, and platform guidelines to ensure a high-quality ride experience. A valid driving license and heavy badge are mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities:

Driving and Transportation:

Safely drive passengers using Ola, Rapido, or Uber platforms according to ride requests.

Ensure smooth and efficient navigation to pick-up and drop-off locations.

Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled timings to optimize earnings and customer satisfaction.

Follow all traffic rules, road regulations, and safety guidelines.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Regularly inspect the vehicle for performance, cleanliness, and roadworthiness.

Perform basic maintenance checks including fuel, oil, tire pressure, and lights.

Report any mechanical issues to the fleet manager or service center promptly.

Customer Service:

Provide courteous, professional, and friendly service to passengers.

Assist passengers with luggage or other requirements as needed.

Handle customer queries, complaints, or issues professionally.

Platform Compliance:

Ensure proper documentation and registration of vehicle for Ola, Rapido, or Uber platforms.

Comply with all platform policies, safety standards, and ride-hailing guidelines.

Maintain accurate records of rides, earnings, and mileage for reporting purposes.

Safety and Security:

Prioritize passenger and personal safety during rides.

Avoid risky driving practices and follow recommended routes.

Keep emergency contacts and first-aid kit in the vehicle at all times.

Skills and Competencies:

Valid driving license with heavy badge (mandatory).

Proven experience driving cars professionally, preferably for ride-hailing services.

Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation tools (GPS).

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Reliability, punctuality, and professional behavior.

Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and efficiently.
Compensation:
