Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced DTP Operator with strong proficiency in Marathi and English typing using Shree-Lipi software, along with hands-on expertise in DTP design and printing operations. The ideal candidate should have solid experience working on a variety of print materials such as visiting cards, pamphlets, brochures, wedding cards, and book setting/layouts. In addition to typing and design work, the candidate must have practical knowledge of digital and offset printing processes.
This is a crucial role within the printing and design team, and the selected candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, print-ready layouts in both Marathi and English. Candidates with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant industry experience and familiarity with the entire DTP and printing workflow will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Typing and Content Formatting

Accurately type and format content in Marathi and English using Shree-Lipi and other typing tools.

Ensure proper spelling, grammar, and formatting as per client specifications.

Proofread and make corrections to text-based material in both languages.
2. Designing Print Materials
-
Create attractive, print-ready designs for a wide range of materials such as:

Visiting Cards

Pamphlets & Flyers
-
Brochures & Catalogs
-
Wedding Invitations
-
Event Invitations
-
Book Covers and Inner Layouts

Work with client-provided content and creatively arrange text, images, and graphics to meet aesthetic and functional expectations.

Ensure consistency in font usage, alignment, spacing, and overall design language.
3. Book Setting & Layout
-
Perform detailed book layout formatting for publications in Marathi and English.

Set margins, chapters, headings, tables, footnotes, and index pages.

Collaborate with authors or editors to finalize manuscript structure for print.
4. Printing Operations
-
Operate and manage digital and offset printing machines.
-
Prepare files in CMYK format with correct resolution, bleed, and cut marks.

Monitor print quality and troubleshoot errors during printing.

Perform basic maintenance on printers and coordinate with technicians for any major issues.

Ensure timely execution of printing tasks according to project deadlines.
5. File Management and Output

Save and organize project files, images, fonts, and documents properly.

Create high-resolution PDFs and other print-ready formats.

Archive completed projects for easy future reference.
6. Client Communication and Revisions

Interact with clients (when needed) to understand requirements and gather content.

Provide design previews or mockups for client approval.

Make revisions as requested and deliver final design for printing.
7. Quality Assurance

Review final designs and prints for accuracy, color balance, alignment, and clarity.

Ensure every output meets the company’s quality standards before delivery to the client.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
-
Minimum SSC/HSC pass.
-
A diploma or certificate in DTP, Graphic Design, or Printing Technology is preferred.
Experience:

Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in DTP designing and printing.

Previous work in a print shop or design studio is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Shree-Lipi for Marathi and English typing.

Knowledge of design software like CorelDRAW, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.

Familiarity with color theory, font pairing, and layout principles.

Practical experience operating digital and offset printing machines.

Understanding of print production formats (CMYK, bleed settings, etc.).
Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and strong sense of design aesthetics.
