E-commerce Operator
Job Description
-
Prior experience in apparel packing or e-commerce fulfillment center
-
Basic knowledge of courier partners like Delhivery, XpressBees, etc.
-
Understanding of returns & reverse logistics (for repacking tasks)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing Product Listings:
-
Create, update, and maintain product listings on various e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.
-
Ensure all product information, such as descriptions, pricing, images, specifications, and stock levels, are accurate and up-to-date.
-
Optimize product listings with relevant keywords to improve search rankings and visibility on e-commerce platforms.
2. Order Management:
-
Process incoming orders and ensure timely fulfillment of customer purchases.
-
Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers, and logistics teams to ensure proper order dispatch and delivery within promised timelines.

Monitor the status of pending orders and resolve any issues related to delayed or incorrect shipments.

Handle order cancellations, returns, and exchanges as per the company’s policies.
3. Customer Service:
-
Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints related to product details, order status, and returns via chat, email, or phone.
-
Provide post-sale support to customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and resolving any issues related to product quality, delivery, etc.

Maintain positive relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.
4. Inventory Management:
-
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that stock levels are sufficient to fulfill orders.

Update product availability status on e-commerce platforms to reflect accurate stock levels.

Keep track of best-selling products and seasonal trends to optimize stock management and restocking efforts.
-
Perform regular stock audits and coordinate with suppliers for reordering products.
5. Order Fulfillment and Shipping:
-
Ensure timely dispatch of products by coordinating with third-party logistics partners or internal teams.

Track shipments and resolve delivery issues, such as delays, lost shipments, or product damages.

Ensure packaging is in accordance with brand standards and that products are delivered in excellent condition.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
-
Monitor sales data, customer behavior, and performance analytics on various e-commerce platforms.

Generate weekly/monthly reports on sales, inventory levels, product performance, and customer feedback.

Use data to identify opportunities for improvement, such as optimizing product listings, improving the customer experience, or resolving frequent issues.
7. Marketing and Promotions:
-
Coordinate with the marketing team to run promotions, discounts, and offers on e-commerce platforms.

Implement seasonal campaigns, flash sales, and other marketing strategies to boost online sales.
-
Track the effectiveness of promotions and report back on key metrics such as conversion rates, click-through rates (CTR), and return on investment (ROI).
8. Maintaining E-commerce Platform Standards:

Ensure all e-commerce platforms and the company’s website comply with relevant standards, policies, and regulations (e.g., payment security, customer data protection).

Perform regular site checks to ensure that the website is functioning smoothly, product pages are loading correctly, and there are no technical issues.
